A website is a collection of web pages and related content that is identified by a common domain name and published on at least one web server. They are typically dedicated to a particular Topic or Purpose. In the present case the website is for the Odisha Society for Social Audit Accountability and Transparency (OSSAAT) is a registered Society under aegis of PR & DW Department Govt. of Odisha, setup for bringing in more Transparency, Efficiency and Accountability in scheme and program implementation for the rural poor.
This society aims to making people aware about different Rural Development schemes implemented by Government, its benefits, entitlements and provisions for them. The ultimate goal is Gap filling and course correction in Rural Development program implementation and achieving the intended targets.
Development and operationalizing a website shall help OSSAAT in achieving these objectives by connecting people, policy makers, implementing agencies, Non- Government Organizations and field functionaries- working at different levels. There is a separate module in this website for linking the district level officials for transmission & exchange of reports, figures, formats and general data.
In our endeavor to bring in more Transparency, Efficiency and Effectiveness in Government functions this website development shall lead us to new and progressive path of Developmental Administration. It is rightly said the “True progress of India lies in the development of her Villages”.
The Village is the cell of the national body and the cell-life must be healthy and developed for the national body to be healthy and developed.
